Reactivation of an old oil well can be explicitly calculated to maximize crude production. The biggest challenge with the activation process is content in wells, which not feasible meet specified minimum standards. In case Bunian field, Indonesia, produced has high water content. It causes a decrease quality production and also hinders capacity. scheme applied field storage tank that functions reduce using gravity method, but this less effective. Let’s modify into heat exchanger through engineering design labeled it as free knockout (FWKO). FWKO made multi-pass tube exchanger. experiments are conducted three phases’ tests before deciding final design. From test, change varied temperature differences working fluid oil. lowest obtained at 0.5 % tests. After analyzing characteristic each test result, taken by adjusting suitable pressure.
